About CCR

The Centre for Clinical Robotics (CCR) is a Danish research and innovation centre for robot technology.

The centre is created as a result of the close collaboration between Odense University Hospital (OUH) and the University of Southern Denmark (SDU). The aim of the centre is to ensure that research and implementation of robot technology at the hospital is targeted to benefit staff and patients.

Centeret er det første af sin slags i Danmark og har fokus på hardwarerobotter til brug i behandling, til transport og til automatisering. CCR har fokus på udvikling og afprøvning af teknologier samt forskning.

CCR is in close connection with daily life in the clinical departments and thereby also the needs and wishes that arise in daily workflows at the hospital. CCR is also an integral part of the research environment at the Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller Institute at the Faculty of Engineering, SDU. The collaboration is the cornerstone of research and innovation projects, not to mention implementation of robot technology in daily operations at the hospital. The Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller Insititute at the Faculty of Engineering, SDU. This collaboration across departments and institutes is the cornerstone of research and innovation projects and not least the implementation of robot technology in the hospital's daily operations.

Robots are already an integral part of the workflow in several deparments at Odense University Hospital, and we are constantly testing new areas where robot technology may ease and help in the everyday life of patients and staff.
