MediFlex – Automation of medication compounding
The project focuses on further developing an automated solution to assist clinical departments with the process of mixing injectable medications—a task that is otherwise manually demanding and physically strenuous.

Currently, the mixing process involves staff manually forcing the medication through syringes repeatedly with considerable force. This is time-consuming and physically taxing on the fingers and hands, while also requiring close attention to the exact number of repetitions to ensure proper mixing.
AIM
The MediFlex solution aims to reduce the physical strain on staff, free up time for other clinical tasks, and ensure the correct and consistent mixing of medication in accordance with established guidelines.
The project seeks to refine a previously developed prototype - making it more compact, practical, and user-friendly - so that it can be used in a standard clinical setting. The solution must address practical day-to-day needs, including requirements for hygiene, safety, durability, and ease of operation. In the long term, the solution is intended to support multiple types of medication, thereby increasing both its utility and the benefits for the staff.
