New partnership with MiR
In the future, Odense University Hospital (OUH) will have easier access to robots for tests and projects at the hospital. OUH and Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR) have entered into a partnership which means that MiR supplies free robots, when the hospital has new projects or ideas to test.
- We won't save costs, but the robots can spare the staff for heavy ergonomic tasks. And they can release staff time, which can be very valuable for the patients, explains Bjarne Dahler-Eriksen, Chief Medical Officer.
The partnership gives MiR the opportunity to test their robots in the actual daily routines at the hospital and learn more about the demands and expectations for a robot at a hospital.
OUH already operates several robots from MiR, for instance to transport medicine and blood samples. One example is the robot HUBOT.
