Region of Southern Denmark to purchase more glass slide archive systems
The automated glass slide archive system robot has transformed workflows at Odense University Hospital since its implementation in 2021, saving the staff up to 12 hours of work each day. The robot has archived up to 1,600 glass slides of tissue sample daily since then.
To optimise the archiving process in the rest of the Region of Southern Denmark, it is now the plan to purchase four more robots to be placed at hospitals in Aabenraa, Esbjerg, Vejle, and one more at Odense University Hospital. The new archiving systems will be half the size of the one implemented at the Department of Pathology, with space for 12,000 tissue samples.
