KIA Blood Bank
The KIA blood bank is a robot cell with a robot arm that receives blood samples from OUH's blood sample shipment system.
The robot registers and sorts the blood samples in different racks for sub-laboratories in the Department of Clinical Immunology (KIA).
AIM
The aim of the implementation of the robot was to automate and optimise manual workflows as well as minimise the risk of human errors when registering samples upon arrival. It also frees time with the staff.
RESULTS
The robot is in operation at the Department of Clinical Immunology at Odense University Hospital. See the robot on the video below.
